A local nonprofit agency wants the community to serve, set and spike in the name of mental health during the Bumps and Beats volleyball tournament at Lajeunesse high school on March 30.
Be the Good, a nonprofit that works to spread kindness and compassion across Windsor-Essex, will be presenting the tournament with proceeds going toward the local Canadian Mental Health Association.
The tournament is open to all ages and skill sets. Teams of six to 10 players can compete in either novice or advanced categories for a little friendly competition while raising funds for the cause.
Organizers said the event is a way for the community to get active, engage with each other and promote mental health and wellness in a fun environment.
Interested teams can register here, registration costs vary based on team size but range from $6 to $6.70 per player.
