  • MUSSELBURGH MAYBE: Musselburgh have a called an additional inspection for 10.00 this morning in the hope that rising temperatures and thawing ground will allow racing to go ahead. Clerk of the course Harriet Graham said: “The temperatures are rising really nicely but there is still frost in the ground. We are tentatively hopeful at this stage.”
  • CLIMBING THE BETTING: Honeysuckle is a growing force, creeping into the frame for the Unibet Champion Hurdle with Betfair going 8 from 33 about the unbeaten mare after she dethroned Apple’s Jade in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday. She was also cut to 6-4 from 4 for the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle at the festival.
  • DRINMORE DRAMA: Samcro again tantalised with his talent as he was giving Fakir D’Oudairies a race when falling at the second-last at Fairyhouse on Sunday. Even so he was cut two points to 4-1 favourite for the JLT by Boylesports.
  • CHAMPION’S OPERATION: Buveur D’Air has been operated on to remove the wood splinter that pierced his foot and his season and possibly career remains in the balance.
