“Originally I Felt I’ll Wait Till I’m Done Wrestling”- Becky Lynch Opens up About Accepting Motherhood – Essentially Sports

Becky Lynch in May announced she was pregnant and forfeited her title to Asuka. On a podcast with the Bella twins, Becky explains her decision.

The former RAW women’s champion has had the best time of her career for the past two years among all the women in the WWE. From the Irish lass kicker, she transformed her character into “The Man”.

Life and career went upwards from thereon. In 2018 Becky won the Royal Rumble and went on to beat Charlotte and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35.

The triple threat match was the first-ever women’s main event ever in Wrestlemania history. The Man won the Raw and Smackdown women’s title.

Becky Lynch started wrestling at the of 15. She wrestled all over world wrestling in countries like Ireland, Japan, Canada, France, and the UK.

The Man scratched and clawed until she made it to NXT. Becky Lynch was part of the group The Four Horsewomen (Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha banks), these ladies were tipped to be the next big thing in female wrestling.

Becky Lynch was arguably one of the most liked by the fans. However, she wasn’t much high on the management’s priority list.

Among The Four Horsewomen, she won the Raw women’s championship last and won the SmackDown Women’s championship first. Unsurprisingly the other three women were on the Red Brand.

The last two years have been not less than a dream for The Man. Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania wins, a huge 398 days reign as women’s champion.

But nothing can get bigger for her when she came to know she was going to be a mother.

Becky Lynch on her decision to start a family

In a podcast with the Bella Twins, Becky talks about her decision to start a family. She talks about her having goals and dreams as the first priority when she started at age 15.

Even though she had her ambitions, being a mother and having a family was always in her subconscious mind, and after meeting Colby ( Seth Rollins) she knew it was the right time.

Here is what The Man has to say.

“So I don’t know about you guys, but you have your goals and your working towards everything. But back of my mind I always wanted to be a mother I always wanted to have a family. I started wrestling when I was 15, and umm just everything I did bodybuilding competitions. I just felt I had damaged my body a lot. I knew that I wanted to try and have a baby before 35. And then you know, I met Colby and I was like, well perfect. Originally I felt I’ll wait till I’m done wrestling and then I’ll have a family, but then I felt why do I have to do that? guys don’t do that, hell I’ll do it whenever the time feels right.”
