A call and a visit

Former Nebraska commit Brendan “Bookie” Radley-Hiles has had quite the start to his week. After being bumped up to a 5-star cornerback by Rivals, Radley-Hiles also received a call from Nebraska coach Scott Frost and a visit from running backs coach Ryan Held.

Big win over Minnesota

Nebraska basketball got a big win at home over No. 14 Minnesota Tuesday night, taking down the Gophers 78-68. Glynn Watson Jr. boasted an impressive 29 points for the Huskers in the win.

Coach Tim Miles even got in a joke about Frost after the game, saying there hadn’t been much to cheer about since Frost was hired.

Even more offers

It’s been a busy few days for Nebraska’s new staff on the recruiting trail. Even more offers have gone out and even more visits have taken place. On top of it, former Nebraska quarterback commit Terry Wilson is set to visit Nebraska this weekend.

Coach of the year

After boasting a 12-0 record with UCF, Frost is a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award. He is joined on the list by UAB’s Bill Clark, FAU’s Lane Kiffin, Army’s Jeff Monken, Oklahoma’s Lincoln Riley, Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Fresno State’s Jeff Tedford.

Moving on up

Former Huskers wide receiver Brandon Reilly is being moved from the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad to the team’s active roster. He’ll make his debut in Week 14.

Heading back west

Former Nebraska linebackers coach Trent Bray spent a little time as the Huskers interim head coach. Now that Frost is in place, Bray is ready to move forward and it looks like that next step will be back at Oregon State.
