Ireland 38-14 Italy RECAP from the World Rugby U20 Championship – Irish Mirror

Ireland take on Italy today in the World Rugby U20 Championship with an outside shot of qualification from Pool B.

Noel McNamara’s side got off to a flying start with a win over England but a late try blitz from Australia saw them succumb to a 45-17 defeat latest.

The scoreline wasn’t a fair reflection on the game as a 14-men Ireland looked to be turning the screw until the Aussies found space late on.

They have made a number of changes for this clash with Italy but need a win and results to go their way from France v Argentina and South Africa v New Zealand.

The match at the lub de Rugby Atheneo Immaculada, Santa Fe, is set to get underway at 2.30pm and you can follow all the action right here at Irish Mirror Sport.
