From one coast to another, Bank of Colorado Arena and the University of Northern Colorado volleyball team will play host to teams from the Big 10 Conference to the Pac 12 Conference next season.

UNC opens the season at 7 p.m., August 30 against Rutgers, which competes in the Big 10 Conference.

On Sept. 19, at 7 p.m., the Bears will play host to Pac-12 member Oregon State University at Bank of Colorado Arena.

To make the schedule even more challenging, the Bears go up against the Mountain West Conference four times, including a 7 p.m. match on Aug. 31 against the University of New Mexico at BOC Arena.

The three other matchup against Mountain West opponents are on the road — Sept. 6 at Wyoming; Sept. 13 at San Jose State University; and Sept. 18 at Colorado State University.

“We are very excited about the upcoming season and the non-conference schedule we were able to put together,” UNC coach Lyndsey Oates said in a news release. “Our nonconference schedule is a good balance where we will be tested, but can also gain some confidence going into the Big Sky (Conference) schedule.”

The Bears will scrimmage Air Force at BOC Arena on Aug. 16.

“We are starting a week earlier than normal,” Oates said. “I believe this will give us more time to learn and make adjustments before our first regulation match.”

UNC’s BSC opener is the middle of a four-match homestand at 7 p.m., Sept. 26 against Montana.

The Bears’ only matchup against defending BSC champion Northern Arizona University is on the road in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The Bears also listed five other matches that will be featured:

  • Parents Night at 7 p.m., Aug. 31 against Grand Canyon University.
  • Kids Day at noon on Oct. 11 against Eastern Washington
  • At 1 p.m., Oct. 12, the Bears will play host to Idaho State University on Power in Pink Day.
  • Faculty Appreciation is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Nov. 7 against Weber State University.
  • Senior Night is scheduled for 7 p.m., Nov. 23 against Sacramento State.
