Australian stars Damien Oliver, Hugh Bowman and Tommy Berry will chase Group 1 glory in Hong Kong on Sunday.
The trio, along with UK star Ryan Moore, have been granted approval to ride at the lucrative Hong Kong Gold Cup meeting at Sha Tin.
Bowman will renew his association with Hong Kong Classic Mile (1600m) winner Furore in the Group 1 Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m), while Oliver will partner John Moore’s four-year-old Solar Patch in the same race, traditionally used as the final lead-up to the Hong Kong Derby (2000m).
Berry will be out to continue his perfect record aboard pin-up galloper Pakistan Star when the pair unite in the Group 1 Citi Hong Kong Gold Cup (2000m)
In his only ride on the Tony Cruz-trained gelding, Berry won the Group 1 Champions & Chater Cup (2400m) in last May.
The meeting also features the Group 1 Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup (1400m), which will be headlined by the return of star galloper Beauty Generation.
